Architected specifically for ASP.NET, and written in C# - ComponentArt TabStrip takes full advantage of ASP.NET-specific features: - Postbacks and server-side events. TabStrip tabs have built-in capability of raising server-side events. The entire TabStrip structure is exposed for programmatic access through the event arguments. - Viewstate maintenance. Programmatic changes to the TabStrip structure are automatically persisted across multiple postbacks. ComponentArt TabStrip viewstate can be disabled using the standard ASP.NET property EnableViewState="false". - ASP.NET form validation. CausesValidation property is exposed by the TabStrip class, as well as the TabStripTab class. Therefore, whether ASP.NET form validation will be triggered after a tab is selected is controlled via a control-wide setting, and can be overridden on the TabStripTab level.
ComponentArt TabStrip is a navigation control with built-in intelligence for detecting the currently selected tab, and the ability to correctly highlight the currently selected path. The selected tab can be based on the URL attribute, querystring parameters, or an ASP.NET postback.
